Yeungling Rally - (11/9/2013)

In August, Dick Yuengling, billionaire president of Yuengling and Son, Inc., made public comments calling for the passage of a right-to-work law in Pennsylvania. As members of organized labor, we know that right-to-work laws do not benefit workers and only serve to weaken labor and lower workers' standard of living. According to the latest figures from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, average annual pay in right-to-work states was over $5,000 less than the average annual pay in Pennsylvania. This is not the direction we want to go in.

This Saturday in Pottsville, a march and rally will be held to send the message that Pennsylvania needs good jobs and not the right to work for less. Details are below:

WHAT: March and Rally for Good Jobs and Rebuilding PA's Middle Class

DATE/TIME: Saturday, November 9 at 11:00 AM

WHERE: Between 3rd/4th Sts and Mahantongo Street, Pottsville, PA

Line up is at 10:30 AM and then participants will march to the Schuylkill County Courthouse for the rally.

On Saturday, let's tell Dick Yuengling that Pennsylvania workers need a raise, not more cuts to line the pockets of big business!
